King Family Leather Trunk Restoration

This beauty was brought to us all the way from New York. If it could talk what tales it could tell. Each piece of hardware has 6 nails holding it on the trunk. The unique design and elaborate hardware make this trunk a true treasure to behold.

Two-Colors Trunks Restoration

The wonder of the wonderful two-color trunks....
Years ago trunks were very colorful but the ones that were the best and the most wonderful were the two-color. These trunks were all brought back to their original glory. I am one of the few restores that have mastered the very difficult technique.

Canvas Trunks Restoration

The canvas became a covering of choice for trunk makers 1880-1920. The most popular colors were black, brown, green. The canvas was stretched over the wooden board box and held in place with glue. Also known as the steamer trunks named after their common use in the steam ships of the day.

This is a make over of a trunk that would probably have ended up in a landfill if it weren’t for my free trunks and a sweet lady named Gretchen. She was the one that decided what to do with her “Free Trunk” out of my stock. and YES just about everything on this trunk was replaced but totally worth it in the end.
